We recently discovered the Friday Night Farmer’s Market in North Beach, MD. We love it! The fresh fruit and vegetable offerings are abundant and they have wineries that are in Calvert County. And by the way, the tastings are FREE!

Tonight we tried Cove Point Winery. We tasted several wines and left with one but it was a tough decision! First, we tried a Malbec ($15) that was fruity and not heavy like other’s we’ve tried. Next up was the Peach Shard ($10 on sale) which is 60% Chardonnay and 40% Peach Wine, perfect for summer. This was so unique! It wasn’t too heavy on the Chardonnay but balanced perfectly with the peach. We also had their Mists series which are light fruit wines ($10). We tasted Pomegranate, Pineapple, and Watermelon. The first two were the best. We ended up buying the Peach Shard which we had with our dinner when we got home but almost got the Malbec and Pomegranate Mist wine. The Peach Shard paired well with the corn (best corn ever) but with a burger, a red would have been even better.
